FW series friction welding machine

Friction welding is a type of solid state welding. A friction welder converts mechanical energy into heat at the weld point.
Frictional heat at the joining interface raises the metal to forging temperatures. Axial pressure forces the molten iron away from the joint, removing oxides and surface impurities with soft molten iron.
There are two main techniques for friction welding:
One part must be firmly held against a small axial force while the other part is rotated until the cross-section is sufficiently heated, and then the forging force is applied.

The second technique is called inertial welding, where energy is stored in a flywheel, which is accelerated to the required speed by a drive motor. Then, as the flywheel decelerates, an axial force is applied through the rotating components, converting their kinetic energy into heat at the joints, thereby performing the weld.

Compared with traditional fusion welding, friction welding has high quality welding joints, high welding efficiency and stable quality, and can realize welding of dissimilar materials.
