1. What type of charger should I choose?
You must choose a special charger for lithium batteries. Do not use a lead-acid battery charger, because the lead-acid charger may have a high-voltage breakdown protection MOS and will not protect the BMS from overcharging. LifePo4 battery charger voltage = battery string No.X3.6V, while lithium-ion battery charger voltage = battery string No.X4.2V.
2. What is the relationship between battery capacity and BMS current?
There is no direct relationship between battery capacity and BMS current. Large capacity does not mean that the battery is large, but it depends on the continuous current. That is to say, if your engine has high power, you should choose a high-current BMS. This does not depend on the battery capacity. .
3. Is my BMS damaged?
If you want to determine whether the BMS is damaged, please follow the steps below and use a voltmeter to test whether the voltage of each cell is the same? If the battery voltage difference exceeds 1.0V, it will show that it cannot run very far, there will be no power within the starting range, and the charging time is short. These problems are almost all caused by the battery core. If the BMS is damaged, it will show that it cannot charge or discharge, and the battery is defective. There is no discharge when the voltage is high.
