The role of wedges and spacers A wedge is a hand tool that splits the stone by striking a metal wedge into a hole in the stone using human power. Mainly used for the splitting of cracks and arches, it can be divided into smaller or standard pieces using wedges. Wedges can also trim relatively large and irregular stones.

Characteristics of wedges and spacers

2.) It is suitable for exposed ore, crack growth and weathered ore belt, especially suitable for naturally formed multi-faceted ores, and archstones connected with original rock on one or two sides.
