Membrane filter press is one kind filter press that using the membrane filter plates. In the process of operation, in the end of feeding the material, high hydraulic liquid or gas(0.8-2.0mpa) medium can enter into membrane plate, then the whole membrane will expand to compress filter cake, and filter cake will be further dewatered, which is usually called membrane squeeze.

Compared to Plate and Frame Filter Press, Membrane Filter Press shorten filter time clearly, in the late period of filtering, Plate and Frame Filter Press takes a lot of time to compress water, its filtering efficiency is too low; however, filter with membrane , the cost of time is shorter, efficiency rises a lot.

* Save Electric Power

Save operation power, in the late period of filtering, small flow, high pressure, feeding pump consumes high power; however, filter with membrane, in the condition of high moisture, open air filter to finish this process in a shorter time and save electric power.

Increasing filter cake dryness and decrease moisture content of filter cake, filter with membrane has a second time filtering on filter cake that was finished by static filtering. According to former experience it can decrease 10%-40% moisture content. For different industries, the lowest moisture content can reach 12.5%.

Work Principle

In the process of operation,press system(piston of the oil cylinder or lead screw drive ) push the head plate, compress the filter plate and filter cloth between head plate and end plate, then the filter chamber is formed between the compressed filter plate and filter cloth. Materials that are pushed by the feeding pump enter into each filter room through feeding hole of end plate. In this way, solid particles will be intercepted in the filter room and formed filter cake. And liquid will discharge from the liquid hole through filter cake and filter cloth. After ending of feeding materials, convey air or water into filter plate through distribution tube to expand membrane plate, in this way, filter plate compress materials again in order to decrease moisture content of the filter cake and at the same time increase the dryness of the filter cake.
