Drag Block Tubing Anchor/Catcher:-
The drag block tubing anchor/catcher (DB anchor) is a retrievable, positive-acting tubing anchor designed to hold a tubing string in tension or compression. It features pull blocks that allow the anchor to run deeper than traditional pull spring anchors. The anchor prevents movement of the pipe during the pumping stroke; and keeps it stationary when it separates. Using tension tubing anchors increases pump efficiency, reduces wear on rods and tubing, and prevents tubing and rods from falling into the well in the event of part damage.
