Style CMS casing slips accommodate casing sizes from 4.1/2 to 30 inches (114.3 to 762 mm). They are designed and manufactured according to API Spec 7K.

CMS-XL slips are made of castings, reinforced to withstand severe service conditions. Self-centering full-wrap clamp prevents damage to the case. With some simple adjustments, the CMS-XL can accommodate casings from 6-5/8" to 42" OD and 4" taper.

Casing slips (varco style) are full wrap around slips for heavy duty, they use button inserts for maximum grip and come in sizes 6.5/8" - 30" casing.

The weight and relatively thin walls of most casing strings make it important for the support slips to provide full circumference grip. The UC-3 slips achieve this with many narrow sections. They hinge together to wrap around the shell and apply more even pressure. With each segment carrying the same load, they automatically center the casing string within the casing or star. UC-3 has a 3 inch taper. It will handle strings from 16″ OD to 42″ OD with varying number of sections and liners. The liner is held in place by a liner retention key and cotter pin.
