Fluid Bed Dryer 

 

Fluid Bed Dryers are designed to Uniform drying of the material at low temperature. Fluid Bed Dryers are made of Stainless Steel 304/316 with GMP standards. The complete unit is supplied with Suitable motor, blower, filters, filter bag, control panel. Heating system provided as per specific customer requirements.

Process Operation

             

Fluid Bed Dryer is designed to introduce the hot air stream at the base of the product container which is filled with the material. Induced draught is created by means of blower and fresh air is sucked in to the unit. The fresh air is heat by means of electrical heaters or steam or thermic fluid heaters. This hot air stream expands the bed of material at certain velocity & creating turbulence in the product. The phenomenon is known as fluidisation and offer conditions which are almost ideal for drying. Fluidisation produces full agitation of solid particles and since each particle gets surrounded by hot air, heat transfer is extremely high and uniform. The product is dried fast without appreciable loss of heat. Filter bags prevent particles escaping from the dryer.

Inlet, Outlet, Bed (Optional) Temperature, Heating & Cooling Timer, Filter Bag Shaking On & Off Timer, Damper On & Off Timer.

 

Auto Control:

PLC based with touch Screen and password level to feed the parameter of process for Heating/Cooling & Bag Shaking Timing etc.

Pre stored process parameter will help to achieve consistent product quality.

MMI (Touch Screen) for visualization of machine of specific process condition and data.

Drying Time

 

The drying time depends on various factors such as physical properties of material, moisture content, type of moisture (free or inherent of water or crystallization) drying temperature etc. For example, the crystalline product can be dried faster than amorphous product containing same percentage of moisture at same temperature. Pharmaceutical granules & powder having approximately 20% to 25% moisture can be easily dried. Fluid Bed Dryers

are normally supplied either with Electric Heating or with steam heating. However hot water / hot oil circulation system can also be installed.
