EL6001 | EtherCAT Terminal, 1-channel communication interface, serial port, RS232

The EL6001 serial interface can be connected to equipment with RS232 interface and conforms to the CCITT V.28/DIN 66 259-1 standard. Devices connected to the EL6001 EtherCAT Terminals communicate with automation devices via couplers. Active communication channels operate independently of the higher-level bus system in full duplex mode up to 115.2 kbaud. The RS232 interface guarantees high interference immunity by galvanically isolating the signals.

In combination with the TwinCAT virtual serial COM driver (see TwinCAT Supplement - Communication), the EL6001 can be used as a normal Windows COM interface.
