The RJ45 connector is pre-assembled with a 120 ohm resistor (pair 3, pins 3 and 6).
Therefore, participants in ST-Bus networks with RJ45 sockets (eg connection boxes or ST-Boxes) can easily be equipped with a terminating resistor.
The DMXterminator 120 is an RJ45 connector plug with a 120 ohm resistor inside that connects to the data line. Plug it into the last DMX unit and the DMX source sees the cable as endless. Otherwise, reflections will occur at the end of the cable, causing hard-to-find problems. Avoid this by terminating the end of the cable.
