  Hot air enters the stirring and crushing drying chamber from the bottom of the dryer at an appropriate spouting speed from the inlet pipe, which produces a strong shearing, blowing and rotating effect on the materials. Therefore, the materials receive centrifugal, shearing, collision and friction and are particulated, thus enhancing mass and heat transfer. At the bottom of the dryer, the larger and wetter particles are mechanically crushed under the action of the agitator, and the particles with lower moisture content and smaller particle size are entrained by the rotating air stream and dried further during the rising process. Due to the rotational flow of gas and solid, the inertia of solid is greater than that of gas, and the relative velocity of solid is larger, which enhances the mass and heat transfer.
