Ti: sapphire crystal Titanium-doped sapphire laser crystal

Titanium-doped sapphire (Ti:Sapphire) is the most widely used laser crystal for broadly tunable and ultrashort pulse lasers with high gain and power output. CASTECH has an advanced temperature gradient technology (TGT) growth method, which can provide high-quality large-size (diameter 30x30mm) titanium sapphire crystals, no light scattering, and dislocation density less than 102cm-2. The sapphire crystal grown by TGT has the characteristics of (0001) orientation growth, high doping level (α490=4.0cm-1), high gain and laser damage threshold.

main application:
• Wide tunable wavelength coverage from 700 to 1000 nm makes Ti:Sapphire an excellent replacement for dye lasers in many applications;
• Through frequency doubling of NLO crystals such as BBO in ultra-thin Ti:Sapphire, UV and DUV (up to 193 nm) lasers with ultrafast pulses below 10 fs can be generated;
• Ti:Sapphire is also widely used as a pump source for OPO to extend the tunable range.
