Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are widely used in power plants, chemical industry, petroleum and alcohol production, usually there are shell-and-tube horizontal heat exchangers and fixed tube-sheet types. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are mainly composed of shells, tube sheets, heat exchange tubes, sealing heads, baffles, etc.; fixed tube-sheet heat exchangers are composed of tube boxes, shells, tube sheets, and tubes. It has compact structure, many rows of tubes, larger area under the same diameter, and simple manufacture. The structural feature of the fixed tube sheet heat exchanger is that the tube bundle is arranged in the shell. The tube bundle is fixed on the tube sheet by welding or expansion at both ends, and the tube sheet at both ends is directly welded on the shell. The water inlet and outlet pipes are directly welded on the shell, the outer circle of the tube plate and the flange of the head are fastened with bolts, the water inlet and outlet pipes of the tube side are directly welded on the head, and several baffles are arranged in the tube bundle according to the length of the pipe. The tube side of the heat exchanger can be divided into any number of tube sides by partitions. Heat exchangers can be divided into: fixed tube plate heat exchangers, floating head heat exchangers; U-tube heat exchangers; stuffing box heat exchangers.

We can produce heat exchangers made of stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, titanium (Ti), copper, carbon steel... In the heat exchanger, the fluid enters from the pipe joint of the sealing head, flows in the tube and exits from the other nozzle of the shell, which is called the shell side.

Shell and tube heat exchanger belongs to petrochemical equipment, which is composed of tube box, shell and tube bundle. The U-tube heat exchanger has only one tube sheet, and the two ends of the pipe are fixed on the same tube sheet. In addition, in order to compensate for the reduction of the pipe wall of the elbow, the wall thickness of the pipe is reduced in the straight pipe part. This affects the use occasions, and it is only suitable for the case where the temperature difference of the shell wall is large, or the shell side of the medium is easy to scale and the pipeline is clean and not easy to scale, high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion.
