Product Description

Our Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is a durable weather instrument used to monitor rainfall and total rainfall. It has been updated and improved with the addition of an inner funnel to allow rainfall to flow evenly into the meter, providing better accuracy at higher rainfall rates. With very little care, it will provide years of service. Rain gauges are made of highly UV-resistant plastic/stainless steel and provide reliable, low-cost tipping-bucket rainfall monitoring. A tipping-bucket sensor mechanism activates a sealed reed switch that produces a contact closure for every 0.1mm, 0.2mm or 0.5mm of rainfall. The rain gauge sensor can be mounted on a pole or bolted to a horizontal plate.
