ACCESSOIRES AND OPERATING

Mounting the Saw Blade

Lay machine on its side, as shown in Fig. 1.

Through the porthole, align to chuck pin with hole in the blade, press and rotate the blade anti-clockwise until it is locked.

Removing the Saw Blade

To remove the blade, turn the quick release button clockwise, then rotate the blade anticlockwise to remove it.

The machine is intended for sawing wood, plastic, metal andbuilding materials while resting firmly on the workpiece. It is suitable for straight cuts. The saw blade recommendations must be observed.

Switching On and Off

To start the machine depress and hold the on/off switch.

To stop the machine, fully release the on/off switch.

Preselecting the Stroke Rate by Speed Dial

The reciprocating metal saw is equipped with a variable speed control. The speed is adjusted by turning the control dial. There is 6 positions, with “MIN” being the slowest speed and “MAX” being the fastest speed. Low speed for low stroke rate, and high speed for high stroke rate. You can preselect the required stroke rate, even during operation. The required stroke rate depends on the material and the working conditions and can be determined through practical testing.

Reciprocating Cutting as Hand Saw

For a quick and clean cut, hold the power tool firmly with both hands, position the guide stop onto the workpiece surface and saw through the material applying uniform supporting pressure and feed, move the power tool back and forth as with a conventional hand saw.

Curve Cutting as Jig Saw

Hold the power tool firmly with both hands, position the guide stop onto the workpiece surface with the teeth facing forwards and align the blade against the cutting line as required.
