2. Description of radial spherical plain bearing:

The radial spherical plain bearing has an inner ring with a spherical convex outer diameter and a corresponding spherical outer ring with a concave inner surface. Their design makes them particularly suitable for bearing arrangements that must accommodate aligning movements between the shaft and housing, or bearing arrangements that must perform oscillating or repeated tilting or swivel movements at relatively slow sliding speeds.

Radial spherical plain bearings requiring maintenance have a steel-to-steel sliding contact surface combination. Bearings with this combination of sliding contact surfaces require regular relubrication. The high wear resistance of the sliding surfaces makes these bearings particularly suitable for bearing arrangements that have to withstand heavy loads in alternating directions, shock loads or heavy static loads. Bearings with cylindrical extensions on both sides of the inner ring are suitable for applications where spacer sleeves are normally arranged on both sides of the bearing, or bearing arrangements specially designed for use in hydraulic cylinders.
